Achievement in Asia Award (Robert T. Poe Prize)        

For the 2022 OCPA Achievement in Asia Award (Robert T. Poe Prize), the OCPA awards committee has carefully reviewed all cases and concluded to award two winners:

  • Dr. Jian Wang (Peking University, Beijing)
    For his seminal work leading to the discoveries of new quantum phase transitions and quantum states in low dimensional superconductors.
  • Dr. Cheng-Wei Qiu (National University of Singapore)
    For his breakthroughs in developing transition-metal dichalcogenide monolayer and van der Waals material metasurfaces and fusing multiscale symmetry, topology, and geometry with advanced quantum nanophotonics.

The winners were selected by the following panel (in alphabetical order):

Outstanding Young Researcher Award (Ardentec Prize)
* The name of OYRA award was changed from Macronix Prize to Ardentec Prize since 2022

For the 2022 OCPA Outstanding Young Researcher Award (Ardentec Prize), the OCPA awards committee has carefully reviewed all cases and concluded to award a single winner:

  • Dr. Ming Yi (Rice University)
    For her major contributions in the fields of unconventional superconductivity and strongly correlated electron systems, topological matter, and correlated topological quantum materials. 

The winner was selected by the following panel (in alphabetical order):

Outstanding Dissertation Award (ODA)

For the 2022 OCPA Outstanding Dissertation Award, the OCPA awards committee has carefully reviewed all cases and concluded to award a single winner:

  • Dr. Zhendong Zhang (University of Chicago)
    For his outstanding dissertation titled “Coherent dynamics and reactions in atomic and molecular Bose-Einstein condensate”.

The winner was selected by the following panel (in alphabetical order):

  • Feng, Dong-Lai (Fudan University & University of Science and Technology of China)
  • Feng, Jonathan (University of California, Irvine)
  • Gao, Xuan (Case Western Reserve University)

Poe Prize) from Dr. Tu-Nan Chang and his family (University of Southern California), the OYRA (Ardentec Prize)  from Ardentec Corporation, and the ODA from Dr. Jen-Chieh Peng (University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign).
