Achievement in Asia Award (Robert T. Poe Prize)
For the 2024 OCPA Achievement in Asia Award (Robert T. Poe Prize), the OCPA awards committee has carefully reviewed the many excellent nominations and concluded to award two winners:"
- Dr. Xiong-Jun Liu (Peking University)
For his fundamental breakthrough in the quantum simulation of synthetic gauge fields and topological phases with ultracold atoms, and in the discovery of symmetry-protected non-Abelian statistics of Majorana modes. - Dr. Hong Yao (Tsinghua University)
For his pioneering research in exotic superconductivity and quantum spin liquids, spacetime supersymmetry at quantum criticality, and quantum Monte Carlo simulation with Majorana representation.

For his outstanding contribution in revealing complex magnetic field structure in turbulent space using innovative statistic technique detailed in his dissertation "The Cosmic Symphony: Magnetic Fields and Turbulence Across Clouds, Galaxies, to Galaxy Clusters".
